United 1st Federal Credit Union CEO, Pat Conn, recently had the opportunity to meet with Georgia Governor Nathan Deal at an event supporting Wee Read Camden. This program provides free books to children in an effort to promote childhood literacy. United 1st is an advocate of financial literacy and is active in the schools within their communities, working with students to teach them about budgeting and money management.
According to Mr. Conn, “it is imperative that our younger generation be prepared with the basic skills such as math and reading at an early age, and we are pleased to help support and reinforce the efforts of parents and teachers in this regard.”
